INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

1. All fields in the online application must be filled. The application deadline is Monday, 15th May 2023 at 10 am.
2. Do not send the hard copy of the filled-in application form.
3. The candidate is responsible for the accuracy of all the information provided in the application. Any errors will result in the disqualification of the candidate.
4. Before starting the application process please ensure that you have the following things ready for uploading the documents. The size of all files and photos should be less than 500kb.
   1. A recent (not less than 6 month old) colour passport size photograph (JPEG file only).
   2. Proof of SC/ST/OBC/PH status (if applicable).
   3. Proof of valid external fellowship award letter from funding agency.
   4. A scan of your signature (JPEG file only).
   5. A statement of purpose for pursuing PhD at ACTREC (250 words).
5. Candidates with a valid Junior Research Fellowship (from the listed agencies – CSIR/UGC, ICMR, BINC and DBT Cat. A) are eligible for a direct interview but, online application is mandatory.
6. 6. Candidates with their own valid external fellowship will have to provide proof at the time of interview. Candidates with a fellowship need to ensure that the fellowship is active and valid till 15th August 2023. The candidate with valid fellowship and whose names are appearing in the ACTREC uploaded lists need not apply again.
7. A list of qualified JGEEBILS candidates, who are eligibility to apply for ACTREC JRF interview, is posted on ACTREC website. These candidates may now apply using the portal. If any of the JGEEBILS qualified candidates who appeared for ACTREC JRF 2023 entrance test (may or may not qualified), need not to apply again, but can send their application reference number to jrf2023@actrec.gov.in
8. In case, while filling the online form, if you don’t want to continue further with your application at any stage, click on ‘Save’ button at the bottom to keep the entered information saved. You will receive an Email about User Credentials (i.e. link for setting the Password). Username will be your registered Email Id. Using Credentials you can update or complete your Application Form later also. Click on ‘Update’ button to update. Unless you click on the ‘Submit & Print’ button, your application will not get submitted into our database.
9. After Submit & Print, you will be directed to Payment Gateway. Payment may be made by using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI. Select the Mode and make the payment. After Successful Payment, you will get an Email confirmation and Access Credentials for taking print out of the application. Application fees for Male candidate is Rs.750/- and for Female candidate is Rs.500/-. SC, ST, OBC, differently abled (PH candidates with minimum 40% disability) candidates are exempted for paying the application fee as per Govt. rules. In case, if you wish to take the print after submission of application, you can take the print out using your access credentials. You will receive an Email about confirming submission to your registered Email Id, after which you will not be able to update or modify the application.
10. The short listed candidates eligible for the interview will be uploaded after 15th May 2023.
11. Please print Interview Call Letter and bring it with you along with a government issued photo ID (e.g. Aadhaar card, PAN card, Driving license, Voter ID, Passport, College ID) on the day of interview.
